The Common Law Admission Test ( CLAT and CLAT PG LLM ) is conducted every year for admission to courses in the National Law Schools and Universities in India. The CLAT is conducted on rotational basis by one of the 19 participating National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their UG and PG degree programmes.
Update : Since 2019, the CLAT PG & CLAT UG are conducted by the consortium of National Law Universities. This article is outdated. As of 2019, there are 21 NLUs / NLSs participating in the CLAT for UG (LLB) and PG (LLM) admissions.

National Law University (NLU) Delhi conducts the AILET – All India Law Entrance Test, which is their separate admissions test for PG & UG programs.
The CLAT PG LLM 2018 is part of the overall CLAT examination, used for the selection process for the Post Graduate – LLM courses offered by the 21 NLS / NLUs.

CLAT PG LLM 2018 Program Eligibility :
- The candidates must have minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination [i.e. LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/any other equivalent exam] as under:
Fifty five percent (55%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially abled Persons (SAP) and other categories, and
Fifty percent (50%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories. - The candidate must have passed/appeared in the final semester/final year examination of the qualifying examination on the date of his/her admission.
- In case of candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination, he/she may submit his/her final result of qualifying examination within the time frame prescribed by the respective University/Institute. Till then such candidates may be given provisional admission.
- In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by procedure and order as under:

Computerized draw of lots. - No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT PG LLM 2018.
The pattern of Question Paper and syllabus for the Post Graduate Courses and Programs in CLAT PG LLM 2018 :
(a) Maximum Marks : 150
(b) Duration of CLAT PG LLM Exam 02:00 Hours
(c) Question Type : Multiple-Choice Questions 150 questions of one mark each
(d) Negative Marking : 0.25 Mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
CLAT PG LLM 2018 Syllabus:
As per the official announcement, questions will be asked from the following areas of Law:
1. Constitutional Law : 50 Marks
2. Jurisprudence : 50 Marks
3. Other Law Subjects such as Contract, Torts, Criminal Law, International Law, IPR etc. : 50 Marks
