Why is CLAT PG 2024 being held in the calendar year 2023 ?

In 2022, the CLAT Consortium decided to hold the annual CLAT examination (PG and UG) in the previous calendar year itself. The benefits of this change include:

  • Allows more time for the NLUs to complete the admissions process

  • Ensures that the CLAT PG scores are available in-time for PSU and other recruitments

Therefore, in the calendar year of 2022, there were two CLAT examinations – CLAT 2022 was held in June 2022 and CLAT 2023 was conducted in December 2022.
