Over the past few weeks, we have been receiving a few questions about the DU LLM and DU PG Law admissions process, the DU LLM / DU PG entrance exam for 2018, the DU LLM entrance syllabus, DU LLM – number of seats etc. This article is a collation of some of the frequently asked questions.

DU LLM 2018 admissions Notification
The DU PG and DU LLM 2018 – 19 academic session admissions notification has been released a few weeks ago. You can check it out the details on the admissions portal at this link : http://admission.du.ac.in

DU LLM 2018 Application Form : The application process is completely online and the instructions are explained in the DU PG admissions information brochure. (Bulletin of Information)
DU LLM seats
There are 110 overall DU LLM Seats, for both the 2 year and 3 year programs combined. Of the 110, only 100 seats will be filled through the entrance exam and 10 seats are supernumerary.
The break-up of the 110 seats, in terms of category and reservations is as below :

DU LLM Eligibility
The basic eligibility for the Delhi University LLM program is – A three-year/ five year LL.B. Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi.
- Candidates should have scored at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate for UNRESERVED (General) seats.
- Candidates should have scored at least 45% marks for OBC/CW/PWD seats.
- Candidates should have scored at least 45% marks for SC/ST
DU LLM entrance syllabus 2018
The overall entrance exam is based on the standard 3 year LLB syllabus that is followed in all UGC-BCI recognized law colleges across India. Analysis of the previous years question papers shows that there is an emphasis on Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence. Many questions in areas such as Environmental Law and Public International Law are drawn from an overview of the subjects.
In addition, a significant percentage of the questions are drawn from / adapted from previous years and a thorough familiarity with the previous year question papers is an essential part of the preparation strategy.

DU LLM entrance 2018 Question Paper Pattern
The new question paper pattern for the DU LLM entrance exam consists of 100 questions. There are no optional questions.
Each question carries 4 (Four) mark and each question has only one correct answer as an option. There will be NEGATIVE MARKING for wrong answer. Each correct answer shall be awarded 4 marks, while one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
There is no negative marking for questions left unanswered i.e. questions which are not-attempted will not have any negative marks.
The time limit for completing the exam is 2 hours (120 minutes). This is a closed book exam, no electronic devices or written / printed materials can be carried inside the exam hall for reference.
DU LLM course syllabus
For details on the actual DU LLM course syllabus that will be covered in the various LLM programs, the attendance requirements, placement process information etc. candidates should browse through the Delhi University Law Faculty portal at  http://lawfaculty.du.ac.in/
As one of India’s premier educational Institutions, the Delhi University LLM program is on par with the best in India. The quality of the infrastructure, faculty, peer group and academics is considered to be on par with the NLUs and also similar International programs.
DU LLM entrance exam 2018 results
Refer to the calendar at the end of this article for all important DU LLM admission process timelines.
The Announcement of Results of Entrance Examinations and ant Grievance Handling is scheduled between 23rd June – 27th June 2018.
The DU LLM result will be announced / uploaded in the admissions portal and may not be individually communicated to the candidates. So keep checking the official websites regularly for any updates.
DU LLM 2018 Admit Card
The Admit Card for the entrance examination will be available in your online registration account after 7th June, 2018 (closing date of online registration process). The admit cards will not be sent physically or individually to the candidates.
All Candidates should take good quality BW or Color prints of the Admit Card. The print quality of the Admit Card should be good enough for verification. (Photo and details should be clearly visible) Admit Card will have the information related with Center, Reporting time etc.
Candidate shall carry the following documents to the Examination Center:
i. Printed copy of the Admit Card.
ii. One identity card bearing candidate’s photograph, for verification. (Any one of the following documents: Aadhaar Card, Driving License, PAN card, Voter’s identity card, Passport or College identity card)
