As per the press release dated the 29th of May 2019, the University of Delhi (DU) announced the commencement of Admissions to Under-graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) programmes, including the two year and three year LLM programs offered by Delhi University for the academic session 2019-2020.

All eligible applicants are informed that the registration process of all the programmes will be completely online for all categories and for all quota. The details of the registration process and subsequent procedure will be available in the Bulletin of Information, which will be available online in the downloadable form with hyperlinks.

The online registration for various programmes will commence from dates specified below:

1. Under-graduate (UG) Programmes – May 30, 2019
2. Post-graduate (PG) Programmes – June 03, 2019 (Including the LLM programs)
3. Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Security & Law – June 03, 2019
4. M.Phil. / Ph.D. Programmes – June 03, 2019

Basic Eligibility for DU LLM Admission

Course Requirements :
Applicants should have completed a three-year/ five year LL.B. Degree from the University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign University recognized as equivalent by the University of Delhi.

Marks Requirements :
50% marks or an equivalent grade point in the aggregate for UNRESERVED. 45% marks for OBC / CW / PWD 45% marks for SC/ST.

DU Admissions Help Desk

A help desk in conference centre will also assist candidates from 10.00 A.M. to 05:00 P.M. in Room No. 5, Conference Centre, North Campus. The colleges will also organize their counseling sessions and set up Help Desk in their premises during the admission process.

Scholarships for various DU UG and PG programs, including the DU LLM programs

The University of Delhi is considering to provide full scholarships to the students whose both parents are deceased/unemployed and half fee waiver to those students whose earning member is deceased in order to cover their college/University.

Documents Required for Uploading at the time of Registration

Applicants are advised to keep ready following documents, (as per the list further below.)

  • Make Photocopies of all the documents listed below.
  • On the photocopy of each document, the applicant must sign and write β€œself-attested”
  • Scan all these self-attested copies and keep them saved on the device (laptop or mobile device) on which you will carry out the online registration. You will need all these scanned, self attested copies handy to upload them to complete the online registration.
  • The applicant will not be able to preview the application, pay the fee or submit the application without uploading the mandatory documents.
List of Documents
  1. Passport size photograph of the applicant (10-50 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).
  2. Scanned signature of the applicant (10-50 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).
  3. Self -Attested Class X certificate/marksheet containing Date of Birth (100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).
  4. Self -Attested Class XII Mark Sheet, if results have been announced. (In case the Marksheet has not been issued by the Board, a self-attested copy of the Marksheet downloaded from the respective Board’s website should be uploaded). (100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).
  5. SC/ST/PwD/CW/KM Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) issued by the competent authority (100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).
  6. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) issued on or after March 31, 2019. The OBC caste must be included in Central list issued by the Government of India. http://ncbc.nic.in. (100-500 kb for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format).
  7. EWS Certificate issued by SDM certifying the applicant can claim reservation under this category, dated March 31, 2019 or later.(100-500 kb in size for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format)
  8. Self-attested copies of Sports and/or ECA certificates. (100-500 kb in size per document for upload in jpg/jpeg/png format), if applying under these categories.
  9. Any certificates submitted under the categories mentioned in subheadings 3/4/5 must match with the names that appear on their corresponding School Board qualifying certificates; similarly their parents’ names must match in both sets of certificates.

If applicants do not have these certificates at the time of application, they may upload the acknowledgement slip/receipt of application and produce the original certificate at the time of admission.

The uploaded documents will need to be presented in the colleges at the time of admission, for online and/or forensic verification. If any false attestation / falsified records are detected, the applicant will be debarred from the University and / or its colleges and penal action will be taken against the applicant.

Syllabus for the DU LLM 2019 – 2020 entrance test question paper

1. The LL.M. Entrance Test 2019 will be held ONLINE at various centres which shall be notified by the University. The schedule of the test shall be notified later.
2. The Test shall be of two hours duration. The Test Paper will consist of one question paper containing 100 objective-type questions with multiple choice answers relating to :
– Constitutional Law of India,
– Jurisprudence,
– Law of Contracts,
– Sale of Goods,
– Law of Torts,
– Consumer Protection,
– Criminal Law,
– Family Law,
– Public International Law,
– Intellectual Property Law,
– Cyber Law,
– Environment Law,
– Company Law and Partnership.
– In addition a few questions may address contemporary legal issues.
3. The language of the Entrance Test shall be English.
4. Each question shall carry four marks. For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded and for every incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. No mark will be awarded or deducted for a question which is left unanswered.
5. The general instructions to the candidates will be supplied later on the University website.
