Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) is a Schedule ‘A’ Mini Ratna Central Public Sector Enterprise and subsidiary of ONGC; India’s top energy company is operating a 15 Million Metric Ton state-of-the art Refinery located in a beautiful hilly terrain, north of Mangaluru city, in Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka State.
The refinery has got a versatile design with complex secondary processing units and a high flexibility to process Crudes of various API, delivering a variety of quality products. It also incorporates a Polypropylene unit having a capacity of 440 KTPA.
MRPL also operates a world-class petrochemical unit capable of producing 1 Million Tons of Para Xylene through its subsidiary ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited (OMPL)
Executive (Legal) Role at MRPL
MRPL regularly looks for bright, energetic, aspirant and dedicated youths (Indian Nationals only) for recruitment to the Executive (Legal) Management in ‘A’ grade Cadre through the current year’s CLAT PG LLM scores.
Candidates selected may be placed in different sections or locations of the company as per the current or future requirements. The candidates may also be required to work in shifts.
Minimum & Essential Educational Qualifications for MRPL Legal Executive Recruitment
Graduate Degree in Law (BCI recognized LLB degree) with minimum 60% marks. Practicing Advocates with 3 years of post qualification experience would be preferred for all categories.
Experience as a Practicing Advocate or Employment in a Company may be considered as valid. Once the official notification is released, candidates should refer to the details and / or reach out to the company on the official email ID for clarification about the eligibility of their experience.
Salary and Benefits
Candidates selected shall be placed on probation as per Company Rules in A grade in the scale of pay of Rs.60, 000-1, 80,000. In addition DA (on IDA pattern), HRA/Township Accommodation, Perks & Allowances under cafeteria approach and other allowances/benefits as per Company Rules will be admissible.
Since MRPL is a subsidiary company of ONGC, the overall salary and emoluments will be similar to any Mini-Ratna or Maha-Ratna Public Sector Company.
Age limit for applying to MRPL through CLAT PG
The upper age limit for applicants as on the specific date mentioned in the official advertisement is as below:
- Unreserved,EWS – 30 years
- OBC – 33 years
- SC, ST – 35 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD) – 40 years (further relaxed by 3 yrs for OBC and 5 years for SC,ST)
- Ex-Service men (General, OBC, SC, ST) – 35 years
Selection Process for MRPL PSU Recruitment through CLAT PG LLM
- Eligible candidates meeting age and minimum eligibility criteria of MRPL will be required to appear in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT PG) exam as mentioned in the official notification
- Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CLAT PG Score. Note: Score from the current year’s CLAT PG examination ONLY is valid for this year’s recruitment exercise. Scores from previous CLAT examinations are not valid.
- If the CLAT Scores are identical for multiple candidates, then the candidate who has got higher marks in the Base qualification will be considered for further selection process. (Note: Seniority in age may also be used as the final shortlisting criteria at the discretion of the company.)
- Final Selection will be on the basis of aggregate scores obtained by the candidates in the CLAT PG exam, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
- 85% weightage shall be given to the CLAT PG LLM score , 5 marks will be given for Group Discussion and 10 marks for Personal Interview.
