NHPC PSU CLAT 2020 PG recruitment
NHPC is recruiting Law Professionals with bright academic record to join them as a Trainee Officer (Law) at E2 level. The compensation package for this role will be INR 50,000 – 3% – 1,60,000 (IDA). See the compensation section below for details.
Age limit : The Maximum age as on 01-10-2020 is 30 years.
They have announced 8 vacancies for this round of recruitment; under the following categories.

As for the work location, selected Candidates will be placed at Projects / Power Stations/ Offices including Joint Ventures & Subsidiary Companies of NHPC in various parts of the country or abroad.
NHPC Trainee Officer (Law) Salary package
As per the notification, the salary package comprises of Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, HRA, Cafeteria Allowance, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Medical Facility, Social Security Benefits including PF, Pension, Gratuity etc as per company rules in force from time to time.
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs.50,000-3%-1,60,000 (IDA) (E2) during one year training period. On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Engineer/Officer in the same scale with probation of one year.
To simplify the calculation, the total annual emoluments for the new joinee shall be approximately Rs. 15 Lakhs per annum.
Selection process for NHPC Law Officer through CLAT 2020
The basic eligibility criteria is Full time regular Graduate Degree in Law (Professional) (3 years LLB or 5 Years Integrated LLB Course) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade from recognized Indian University / Institute recognized by Bar Council of India.
Eligible candidates will have to appear for Common Law Admission Test – CLAT 2020 (CLAT PG 2020).
Candidates will have to score at least the Minimum Qualifying Marks (as given below) in CLAT PG 2020 for consideration for the next stages of selection process in NHPC.
- Unreserved Vacancy- 40% Marks
- Reserved Vacancy- 30% Marks
Depending on the number of shortlisted candidates, there may be additional steps such as group discussion and interviews for the final selection.
