In 2020 and 2021, the Consortium announced a subjective part for the CLAT PG exam. However, the same was dropped subsequently.

What will be the design of the CLAT PG 2022 Objective Comprehension Passages and Questions ?
In the objective section of the PG-CLAT 2022, you will be provided extracts or passages from primary legal materials such as :

- statutes or regulations.
- book extracts
- passages from articles on legal topics
There were 12 passages with 10 questions each in 2020 and 20 passages with 6 questions each in 2021.
Each passage will be followed by a series of questions that will require you to demonstrate the following aspects :
- Your ability to read and comprehend the issues discussed in the passage, as well as any arguments and viewpoints discussed or set out in the passage;
- Your awareness of the issues discussed in the passage, as well as of legal issues and facts related to and arising out of the passage and the judgment or statute from which it is extracted;
- Your ability to summarize the passage; and
- Your ability to apply your knowledge of the fields of law discussed in the passage.
How can you prepare for the CLAT PG 2022 ? What is the best preparation strategy for CLAT LLM 2022 exam ?
Since the type of passages or the source of passages cannot be predicted, students should prepare in a generic manner and solve as many mock tests and previous papers as possible.
Even the old pattern CLAT PG paper (the non comprehension type) are very useful in brushing up your legal knowledge.
As part of your preparations for the CLAT PG 2022, you should:
- Read and refresh your knowledge of important judgments, and try to discern various issues discussed in such judgments;
- Refresh your knowledge of important constitutional and legislative provisions, particularly those that may have been discussed in recent judgments;
- It would also be useful to ensure you are aware of historical case law and amendments related to such provisions, so that you have a more complete awareness of such provisions and the issues related to them;
