About JVIT – Justice Ventures India Trust
JVIT partners with local organizations and global stakeholders to bring freedom, justice and restoration to men, women and children suffering from human trafficking and other forms of extreme injustice, through joint interventions conducted with local organizations and government officials.
The organization tries to improve justice systems by conducting research, advocating for changes in policies and laws, and building justice networks linking local and global advocates to protect the vulnerable from abuse and oppression.
About the Internship Opportunity with JVIT
The internship will involve working on various aspects of the trusts activities and also working on laws pertaining to women and child rights.
The intern will work on the following :
- Prepare research memos.
- Assist drafting and updating legal resources.
- Research on any other human rights issues.
Eligibility for internship
Applicants must be enrolled in a 3 year or 5 year Law program in a BCI recognized law schools.
Applicants must have basic drafting and research skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
