The Manipur Judicial Service Examination is conducted every year by the Manipur High Court – Imphal. The notification is published on the High Court’s official website at : hcmimphal.nic.in and / or the website of the state’s public service commission (If the exam is conducted by the PSC) at Manipur Public Service Commission

The Manipur Judicial Service Examination is conducted in two stages, the written exam and the viva-voce. Unlike most other states, there is normally no preliminary exam to shortlist candidates for the mains.

Eligibility and Age Limit – Manipur Judicial Service Exam – Grade III Judicial Magistrate Civil Judge

i. The candidate should be a citizen of India.
ii. Age Limit: On the last date fixed for receipt of applications, the candidate must not exceed the age of 35 Years for Unreserved (UR), 38 Years for OBC(M) / OBC(MP), 40 Years for ST/SC
iii. Educational Qualification: The candidate must be a holder of a degree in law from a recognized University established by law in India.

Desirable Qualification

It is desirable that applicants have knowledge of Manipuri / other local languages of Manipur.

Stage 1 : Written Examination: 400 Marks (Minimum Bench Mark – 50% for UR/OBC & 45% for ST /SC). Provided that ST/SC candidates who obtain more than 45% but less than 50% shall not be eligible for appointment against the unreserved vacancies.

Stage 2 : Viva Voce: 70 Marks (Minimum Bench Mark – 40%)
